Team Europe beat Team USA 15–13 in the 2026 Solheim Cup on Sunday, 13 September, at Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands, BBC Sport and NBC Sports reported. The teams entered Sunday’s 12 singles matches tied 8–8 after two days. Europe needed 14½ points to take the crystal; the hosts finished on 15.

Captain Anna Nordqvist sent Charley Hull out first. Hull beat Megan Khang 3&2, BBC and NBC recorded. Hull and partner Lottie Woad had taken only a half-point across the Friday and Saturday team sessions; Hull’s singles win put the first blue on Sunday’s board. Woad, also among the world’s top 10 on the BBC framing, beat fellow debutant Auston Kim 2&1. Woad’s putt on the 17th green took Europe to the points threshold that guaranteed the hosts could not be caught on the wire accounts that track the 14½-point requirement.

Carlota Ciganda beat Jennifer Kupcho 4&2 for the clinching point. NBC Sports placed Ciganda in the penultimate match and recorded the outright 15–13. Ciganda had also secured the decisive point in 2023, when she beat Nelly Korda 2&1 to tie Europe and the United States 14–14 and retain the cup at Finca Cortesin in Spain. BBC noted she became the second player to secure the decisive Solheim point twice, after Catriona Matthew in 2003 and 2013.

Sunday’s singles ran 7–5 to Europe on the Associated Press scoreboard carried by wires. Named results on that card and on GOLF.com / NBC include Linn Grant’s win over Angel Yin, Nanna Koerstz Madsen over Allisen Corpuz, Nastasia Nadaud over Andrea Lee, and Julia Lopez Ramirez over Yealimi Noh. For the United States, Alison Lee came from four holes down after 11 to beat Esther Henseleit 1 up, the largest singles comeback in Solheim Cup history on NBC and CBS Sports. Nelly Korda beat Mimi Rhodes; Lauren Coughlin beat Leona Maguire; Lindy Duncan beat Maja Stark; Rose Zhang beat Celine Boutier. Those American points were not enough once Woad and Ciganda closed the European requirement.

U.S. captain Angela Stanford’s side had taken momentum late Saturday when Kupcho sank long putts on 17 and 18 to steal a fourball point from Ciganda, BBC reported. Sunday opened in rain. Europe won six of the first eight singles matches on the NBC account. Stanford told BBC the Europeans played well and that putting on the Bernardus greens was a problem for her team. The United States’ last win on European soil remains 2015 in Germany on the wires that frame the home-soil drought.

Captains for this edition were Nordqvist (Europe) and Stanford (United States). The next Solheim Cup is scheduled for Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, 4–10 September 2028, NBC Sports stated.
