The 2026–27 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season opens Thursday, 24 September, with seven Round 1 tips on the named slate before Friday closes the round (euroleague.net; Basketball Sphere Round 1 preview, 23 Sep). This page is tip-day preview only — no Thursday or Friday box scores are invented, and RealGM’s international scoreboard still carried pre-tip placeholders as of Thursday morning ET.
Dubai Basketball hosts SuperCup winner Real Madrid at 18:00 CET (20:00 Dubai local) at Coca-Cola Arena in a rematch of their Abu Dhabi SuperCup semifinal (Basketball Sphere; Real Madrid). Real Madrid lifted the inaugural EuroLeague SuperCup with a 93–89 final win over Olympiacos in Abu Dhabi on Saturday under new coach Pedro Martínez, after beating Dubai in the semifinal overtime (Eurohoops; Real Madrid). Hapoel Tel Aviv hosts Bayern at 19:00 CET (20:00 Sofia local) at Arena 8888 (euroleague.net). Crvena Zvezda–Žalgiris tips at 20:00 CET; Panathinaikos–Paris at 20:15 CET — Željko Obradović’s official homecoming after 14 years away from the green Athens side; Barcelona–Anadolu Efes and Baskonia–defending champion Olympiacos at 20:30 CET; and ASVEL–Maccabi Tel Aviv at 20:45 CET (Basketball Sphere; euroleague.net printable calendar frame).
Friday, 25 September, closes Round 1 with Beşiktaş–Valencia, Fenerbahçe–Virtus Bologna, and Partizan–EA7 Milan on the same official sheet (Basketball Sphere; euroleague.net). The league’s second consecutive 20-team, 38-round regular season puts early road wins at a premium; Real Madrid’s club note frames the Dubai opener as the first of those road tests after the SuperCup trophy (Real Madrid).
Named actors and checkable milestones locked to euroleague.net, Basketball Sphere’s Round 1 preview, Real Madrid, and Eurohoops: Round 1 window 24–25 September; seven Thursday openers with the tip clocks above; Friday’s three closers; Real Madrid SuperCup champions (93–89 over Olympiacos) into the Dubai rematch; Olympiacos defending the EuroLeague title on the road at Baskonia; Obradović’s Panathinaikos homecoming against Paris; Dubai under Xavi Pascual after a remade roster that already met Madrid in Abu Dhabi. The desk does not invent standings projections, Play-In math, roster absences beyond published lines, or Thursday box scores ahead of tip.
Preview colour already on the public sheets includes Dubai’s remade core around Walkup, Okobo, Blossomgame, Shengelia and Diakite beside holdovers such as Musa and Bacon; Madrid’s Martínez-era open after SuperCup silverware with Luwawu-Cabarrot and Pradilla joining a group still anchored by Tavares, Campazzo and Deck; Panathinaikos as a paper title contender after Obradović’s return and arrivals including Yabusele, Francisco and Bonga beside Lessort; Paris under Maxime Lefevre with Nadir Hifi as the named danger for the homecoming tip; and Olympiacos keeping its Bartzokas core for a title-defense start in Vitoria (Basketball Sphere; Real Madrid; Eurohoops). Those frames are preview only — none of them is a result.
